GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for servicing brokerage customers of Fifth Third Securities primarily with balances of less than $10,000; in which an Investment Executive is not personally assigned to the account. Duties will also focus on attempting to promote the client relationship into an advisor-based model by gathering/growing assets under FTS management and utilizing sales of the full range of securities products. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. Position not available for immigration sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, 66 (or 63 and 65) and appropriate state required insurance licenses (exception: 7 and 63 in Michigan and Ohio) are required.
  • Variable Annuity license is required.
  • Highly developed knowledge of the securities business, investment products and financial solutions
  • 1-3 years previous brokerage industry experience
  • Four-year college degree with business, accounting or related discipline. Experience in a similar position in the industry will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
  • Highly developed sales and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment, meet deadlines, and service accounts with high attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial planning/consulting designed to help clients achieve financial goals
  • Achieve sales goals while serving the client's best interest
  • Develop and conduct client meetings to review existing accounts and close sales
  • Simplify and communicate complex financial concepts to clients
  • Prioritize client needs and introduce services of other Fifth Third employees, i.e. loans, estate planning, deposits
  • Post-appointment follow-up to maintain relationships and develop referrals from existing client base
  • Build strong internal and external client relationships
  • Maintain relationships and develop referrals to Investment Executives from existing client base, with a goal of increasing customer assets
  • Maintain blotters of daily activity to satisfy compliance requirements
  • Manage sales planning for self and team to drive assets under management and achieve designated goals and financial results.
  • Answer questions on how to open new brokerage accounts and process maintenance requests on existing accounts.
  • Prepare necessary internal reports for sales tracking
