About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Broiler Cook to join our kitchen team in Kenner, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality steaks and other proteins using broiler equipment while maintaining excellent food safety standards and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Broiler Cook
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating broiler and high-heat cooking equipment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and temperature control
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 75 pounds
  • Capability to perform essential physical tasks including reaching, bending, and kneeling
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication abilities and team collaboration
  • Basic math skills for inventory management
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-temperature environment
  • Current food safety certification or ability to obtain required certifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook premium quality steaks and proteins using broiler and high-heat cooking equipment
  • Execute precise temperature control and cooking techniques according to customer specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation and storage areas
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, including proper rotation and storage
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Implement strict food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient food preparation
  • Process food orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain proper stock levels and communicate inventory needs
