About The Position

The Shipping Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the shipping department, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and delivered on time. This role requires the use of Oracle ERP Software to access daily shipping information and involves supervising and training shipping staff to adhere to safety regulations and operational procedures. The manager will also coordinate with shipping companies, carriers, and freight forwarders to optimize shipping processes and costs, while maintaining accurate shipping documentation and ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the shipping department.
• Ensure all shipments are processed accurately and delivered on time.
• Use Oracle ERP Software to access daily shipping information.
• Supervise and train shipping staff on safety regulations and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with shipping companies, carriers, and freight forwarders to optimize shipping processes and costs.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Upload necessary shipping documentation and pictures to Oracle.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage the process for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Manage continuous improvement projects in the shipping area.
• Develop standard procedures for all shipping processes.
• Monitor daily production and schedule.
• Reference engineering drawings.
• Communicate material and consumable shortages to purchasing.
• Assist in sequencing, ship dates, and deliveries of projects to customers.
• Coach, mentor, encourage, and maintain a lean culture.
