Broadcast Operations Managers oversee the technical and operational aspects of multiple live broadcast streams, ensuring seamless transmission and production. This role requires strong coordination with cross-functional teams, vendors, and broadcast partners to manage content acquisition, encoding, and distribution. You will contribute to and refine existing workflows as the product evolves. This role demands a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to support live events across global time zones.Serve as a live event day manager ensuring Apple quality standards and smooth streaming operations through the platform for viewers.

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of a broadcast master control facility, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Supervise broadcast operators and quality control.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams (internal u0026 external).
  • Monitor signal flow, troubleshoot issues, and implement stabilization measures.
  • Coordinate with engineering and production for optimal signal quality and disaster recovery.
  • Understand and adhere to SOPs, contributing to updates as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communications, Media Studies, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience managing and mentoring broadcast operations teams.
  • Effective communicator, resilient, collaborative, and able to prioritize and make timely decisions.
  • Understanding of networking protocols and technologies relevant to media transport (TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast).
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and metadata management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and new technologies.
  • Experience with live sports broadcasts beneficial.
