The Broadcast Operations & Media Support Engineer is responsible for the setup, implementation, and support of audio and video technologies for live events. This role involves overseeing high-profile events, providing technical support, and ensuring the successful execution of integrated and hybrid broadcast operations. The engineer will manage vendor coordination, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain AV equipment to deliver exceptional service during events.

  • Oversee executive-level and high-profile live events for internal and external audiences.
  • Setup, operate, and strike client live events and meeting support.
  • Act as a technical advisor for technological solutions providing white glove support to meetings and events.
  • Coordinate scheduling, sourcing, and supervision of external vendors and third-party teams for event planning and media services.
  • Support and operate technologies including Teams Video conferencing systems, control room systems, and advanced digital signage systems.
  • Manage troubleshooting and escalation of complex issues related to AV and broadcast systems.
  • Perform equipment readiness checks and verify room setups for events.
  • Deliver technical support for front-of-house signage and audio, including troubleshooting and advanced assistance.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of rooms and spaces based on usage patterns.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate/Bachelor degree preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in AV technology industry installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing equipment.
  • Ability to interpret system drawings and demonstrate knowledge of broadcast systems and production systems.
  • Experience in supporting live AV events with high-level personnel.
  • Proficiency with commercial audio visual, video conferencing, and broadcast equipment.
  • Ability to use a scope to correct audio and video to broadcast standards.
  • Experience with audio board operations, specifically Allen & Heath SQ5, and video mixing.
  • Understanding of 12G SDI, MADI protocol, NDI Signals, and operations of Tricaster.
  • Familiarity with transcoding and decoding, and experience with Ross Xpression.
  • Understanding of QLAN and Dante Networking.
  • Certification in Dante, Qsys, Xpression AVIXIA, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or ACE.
  • Knowledge of the Riedel Intercom system, Digital Signage, LG LED displays, and processing systems.
