The director will also be tasked with effectively communicating with management, clients, and viewers, ensuring that all information is presented clearly and promptly. The role may involve unexpected late-night calls for engineering emergencies, requiring flexibility and readiness to respond at any time. The director will collaborate with related departments to assess current and future needs, preparing and tracking budgets for capital expenses, repairs, and maintenance. A successful history of project management and leadership is essential, as the director will empower staff to carry out projects while fostering a positive company culture. Physical demands of the job include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces, which are essential for maintaining the technical infrastructure of the stations.
