About The Position

The Broadcast Engineer is accountable for the seamless operation, management, and oversight of Learfield's broadcast studios. This role ensures the execution of programming, routing, and quality control processes across multiple distribution platforms, ensuring high-quality delivery to all terrestrial affiliates as well as third-party distribution channels. The position collaborates closely with producers, overseeing the end-to-end execution of broadcasts, and provides expert support to remote production teams, ensuring operational efficiency and equipment integration during live broadcasts at external game sites. Innovating and ideation with the larger team is encouraged as we grow the next generation of live sports content.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to install, setup, operate, and maintain broadcast equipment in studios.
  • Contribute to the continual growth and development of Learfield's broadcast technology, processes, and procedures.
  • Monitor broadcast transmissions for quality control and function.
  • Assist external flagship radio stations with the operation of Learfield owned equipment.
  • Troubleshooting with broadcast network affiliates receiving broadcasts from Learfield.
  • Assist remote crews with the operation of equipment including remote audio connections, feeds, and quality.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to extended work hours during peak sports seasons.
  • Flexibility and dedication to fulfilling responsibilities during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Others duties as assigned.
