A Broadband Technician installs fiber internet and voice services to residential and business locations. They also respond to trouble tickets, perform routine maintenance, and assist customers. In this position, you will route and install fiber-optic cable to customers' homes and businesses. You will bring high speed fiber internet to those in rural Oregon who need it. As fiber is usually run using transmission poles, you will need to be comfortable climbing and using a bucket truck to gain access to those lines. Aside from getting your hands dirty while using hand tools and power equipment to route the line to its destination in the home or business, you will need to turn on those customer services skills complete the installation and answer any questions they might have. No previous telecommunication experience? Although experience in similar roles is preferred, our team of broadband technicians come from diverse career backgrounds.
