About The Position
As a Broadband Specialist I (Field Technician) at Mediacom Communications, you will play a crucial role in delivering our cable television and broadband services to customers in the Huntsville and surrounding areas. This position involves new installations, where you will be responsible for ensuring that our services are set up correctly and efficiently in customer homes. You will represent Mediacom daily, driving a company van to various locations and interacting directly with customers. Your responsibilities will include not only the installation of services but also handling changes of service, additional outlet installations, disconnections, and payment collections. You will be the face of our company, ensuring that customers receive the highest level of service and support. In this role, you will learn and perform a variety of technical tasks, including making customer drop installations from tap to antenna terminals, performing new connects and reconnects, and analyzing picture quality to ensure customer satisfaction. You will work with various tools and equipment, including hand and power tools, and will be required to climb poles and ladders as necessary. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to follow all safety protocols while performing your duties. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining proper vehicle upkeep and generating additional revenue through effective sales techniques by informing customers about product options and promotions.
