Requirements

• 2+ years experience as a telecom technician
• Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license
• Customer Service skills
• Communication skills (verbal, written)
• Basic Computer Skills
• Aptitude to learn new skills
• Problem solving skills
• Time Management skills
• Teamwork skills
• Ability to work alone
• Ability to read and interpret maps
• Bucket Certified
• Understanding of Ohm's law
• Understanding of the Outside Plant

Responsibilities

• Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages
• Emergency coax restoration
• Underground cable maintenance (power supply, actives)
• Leakage management
• Splicing
• Documentation
• Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Other duties as assigned
