About The Position

To safely produce cases of product labeled and wrapped with appropriate code as per the production schedule. This position involves operating machinery, ensuring quality control, and maintaining communication with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient production processes.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Experience within a manufacturing/process environment with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Machine operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce pallets of product without labels during packaging downtime, properly stacked for placement in designated Britestack storage areas.
• Read and accurately interpret scheduled and other production documents.
• Verify that Britestacker is set up for can size and pattern.
• Verify schedule with Kister and Krones operators and supervisor.
• Record downtime and other production-related data.
• Prevent hydroflex discharge from creating chain stoppages.
• Fill out HOLD tags as required.
• Communicate with the Krones operator during code changes.
• Empty Britestacker of cans on change over.
• Notify tow motor drivers of change over.
• Feed product in for labeling as production flow allows.
• Ensure pallets are of acceptable quality, with no broken boards, voids, protruding nails or nailheads.
• Notify supervisor and/or maintenance if cans are being dented while britestacking.
• Conduct general cleaning of the area, housekeeping, and end of week sanitation.
• Coordinate running one britestacker loading pallets while unloading with the other.
• Operate a forklift.
• Participate as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues.
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
