About The Position

The Bridge Services Supervisor 9 (Toll Booth Supervisor) at the Blue Water Bridge is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of subordinate personnel at a state-operated bridge. This role involves ensuring compliance with toll collection and revenue accounting policies, resolving customer complaints, and making final determinations on toll classifications. The position operates within a 24/7 environment, requiring flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Four years of experience equivalent to a Bridge Services Representative, including three years equivalent to a Bridge Services Representative E7 or two years equivalent to a Bridge Services Representative 8.
  • Completion of 30 semester credits including 12 semester credits in accounting, business, finance, management, mathematics, public administration, or statistics may substitute for experience.
  • Two years of managerial/supervisory experience or four years of experience focused on processing financial transactions.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Possess a Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) document or obtain one within 90 days from the date of appointment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Supervisory experience with union staff members.
  • Experience in customer service with face-to-face delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct the work of subordinate personnel at the bridge.
  • Ensure compliance with toll collection and revenue accounting policies and procedures.
  • Resolve customer complaints and public inquiries regarding toll classifications.
  • Make final determinations on toll classifications and related issues.
  • Work various schedules, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
