About The Position

The Bridge Repair Assistant position involves performing various duties related to bridge maintenance and repair under the supervision of a Trade Specialist Bridge. Responsibilities include masonry, carpentry, equipment operation, sandblasting, welding, and traffic control. The candidate will also be required to perform snow and ice operations in areas outside of their primary work location. Additionally, candidates must be able to report to work within a maximum of one hour of call-up.

Requirements

• Two years' experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled tradesman.
• Completion of a technical course in a bridge or technical trade at a school or institute.
• Possession of a Class B Commercial Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Perform masonry, carpentry, equipment operation, sandblasting, and welding.
• Use materials and traffic control as required.
• Conduct snow and ice operations in areas other than the primary work location.
• Report to work within one hour of call-up.
