In the role of Bridge Project Manager, we'll count on you to: Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance planning team throughout entire project’s development Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects to ensure completion of documents on schedule Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable-stayed), box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, and perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development Review, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs Mentor younger staff and support continued development Perform other duties as needed #LI-JF1 Keywords: Bridge Project Manager, Caltrans bridge, California High Speed Rail, MicroStation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
7 years related experience
A minimum 2 years project management experience
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
Demonstrated leadership skills
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Caltrans bridge design experience
California High Speed Rail Experience
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA
Experience mentoring junior staff
Proficiency with seismic design and detailing of bridges
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
10 years of Caltrans Bridge Design Experience
Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills, and ability to work with various teams
Prestress Concrete Design
CIP Concrete design
Strong organizational, listening, and mentoring skills
Ability to handle multiple assignments
Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software
PMP certification

Responsibilities
