About The Position

We are currently searching for an experienced Bridge Project Engineer to support our West Gulf Region located in Little Rock, AR. To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, Professional Engineering Licensure and 5 years of bridge design experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.)
• 5 to 9 years of engineering experience in bridge design
• DOT experience is strongly preferred
• Technical expertise for the layout & design of bridges and related highway structures
• Familiarity with rehabilitation of existing bridges and highway structures
• Knowledge of AASHTO and other pertinent bridge design specifications
• Familiarity of DOT bridge standards and design manuals is strongly preferred
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Valid driver’s license
• A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)

Nice To Haves

• Master of Engineering preferred, but not required
• Skilled in the use of bridge design software such as OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Designer, STAAD, CSi Bridge, MIDAS, AASHTOWARE BrR, Mathcad

Responsibilities

• Perform/supervise calculations and analysis for designing bridge and transportation structures using various bridge design software programs
• Perform/supervise load ratings on bridges of various type size and complexity
• Review calculations and design details developed by others
• Attend meetings with clients and other professionals and organizations
• Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule, and project constraints
• Review construction related submittals
• Organize and maintain project files
• Supervising and mentoring Structural EITs and Interns
• Assist with marketing bridge and structure design work
