AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Raleigh on January 28-29, 2026 . This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026. The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm , where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines. On Thursday, interviews will take place at our Raleigh office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities. AECOM's Raleigh, NC transportation team is seeking an Engineering Intern to work in the bridge/structures group. This intern would support the bridge inspection program by preparing inspection reports and assisting in field inspection work, and assist in the preparation of bridge plans. This position is expected to begin in January 2026. Internships at AECOM offer students in undergraduate and graduate programs the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering, design, and infrastructure projects that make a real-world impact. Interns work with cutting-edge technology, learn industry best practices, and collaborate with experienced professionals in a globally recognized firm. The program fosters both technical and professional skill development while providing networking opportunities that can enhance future career prospects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study

Requirements

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and must have completed at least one of year of study.
  • Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, OpenRoads/MicroStation, or other engineering software.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
