Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a Master’s engineering program with a focus on civil/structural engineering at an accredited college or university.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship experience is preferred.
  • Relevant coursework, such as structural analysis, steel or concrete design, and geotechnical engineering, is preferred.
  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher is desirable.
  • Experience with structural engineering software packages, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation, Excel, Bluebeam, MathCAD, and structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, LARSA, MIDAS, or similar), is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop professionally and connect with company leaders through our National Intern Program.
  • Work in the capacity of a bridge engineer on medium to large projects.
  • Support engineering staff in performing structural analysis modeling.
  • Assist in the production of engineering calculations and drawings under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Support post-design construction activities by reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, or complex construction activities.
  • Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
