TRC is seeking a Bridge Project Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting clients statewide from our offices located in Sacramento, Stockton, Fresno, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino. Bridge Project Engineers will oversee the work of others as well as perform engineering tasks of moderate to challenging complexity on various bridge and structures design projects and accomplished through understanding and applying Caltrans standards, manuals, guidelines, policies, directives and utilizing computer software applications.

Review, verify, and validate structural calculations and construction drawings completed by other engineers
Perform and QC calculations and analyses for complex aspects of various types of structures
Participate in on-site inspections to assist with identifying deficiencies
Develop non-standard structural details
Prepare special provisions and construction cost estimates
Lead Caltrans Type Selection meetings
Attend client meetings
Assist with proposal preparation for new projects

Bachelors or higher degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
Ability to critically analyze and creatively solve challenges
Good written and oral communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and passion for mentoring junior staff
Desire to work in a respectful team environment
Proficient with related software and tools required to perform this type of work, including structural analysis programs (e.g. CTBridge, CSiBridge, SAP2000, RC Pier, CONSPAN, etc.) and Microsoft Office- WORD, EXCEL, Powerpoint
