About The Position
Full-service engineering firm with tradition and reputation that goes back over 40 years looking to add a Bridge Engineer to their Novi office!
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural projects
- 4+ years of experience
- Experience using AutoCAD and/or specialized bridge design software
- Knowledge of Prestressed Concrete preferred
- Experience with layout/design of bridges and highway structures preferred
- Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Design/plan various bridge projects based on applicable design specifications (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete girder, reinforced concrete slab structures)
- Conduct structural analysis to ensure highway structures strength and safety
- Prepare structural designs/contract documents (drawings specifications, estimates)
- Assist with the preparation of project budgets/schedules
- Perform calculations for designing bridges/transportation structures
