Fuss & O'Neill is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Bridge Engineer to join our expanding Transportation team in Eastern Massachusetts. In this key role, you'll help shape the region's infrastructure by designing and delivering safe, resilient, and efficient bridge structures that improve mobility and serve local communities. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge engineering and design
  • Familiarity with MassDOT strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation and Revit; Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Technical experience with structural analysis and design software such as RAM Structural System, RISA-3D, Visual Analysis and EnerCalc preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support bridge design efforts on a variety of multi-disciplinary transportation projects
  • Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines and technical staff to develop design calculations, plans, and specifications
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on design tasks and contributing to their professional development
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while meeting quality control and quality assurance standards
  • Conduct site visits and bridge inspections during both the design and construction phases to ensure compliance and performance
