We are seeking a Bridge Designer to join TYLin's Bridge Sector. In this role you will be asked to perform design calculations, analysis and detailing of bridges. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structures by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc (EAC/ABET).
  • Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Engineer-In-Training Certification required. Eligibility and willingness to pass PE test within 1 year required.
  • Computer skills desired include Bridge Design Software, Computer Aided Drafting (Microstation Connect and OpenBridge preferred).
  • 0-5 years of structural design experience - emphasis on bridge structures preferred.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis for the design of reinforced/prestressed concrete and steel bridge structures.
  • Develop or assist in developing structural details and construction plans.
  • Successfully coordinate with CAD on a frequent basis.
  • Prepare material quantity calculations.
  • Perform load rating analyses.
