Requirements

  • Hold a Master's degree in Structural Engineering or higher, along with 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Be registered as an EIT in the home state or have the ability to obtain before employment
  • Be familiar in the use of structural design codes such as AASHTO along with having sufficient exposure to use AutoCAD, Microstation, BIM, Google Sketchup or other detailing programs
  • Be conversant in the use of engineering software such as Excel, and Mathcad to efficiently produce engineering calculations.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably be familiar with structural analysis software programs (ex: LUSAS, SoFistik, CSiBridge, MIDAS)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing design calculations, drawings, and cost estimates
  • Apply design code clauses to engineering tasks assigned under supervision
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all team members
  • Attend project meetings and provide an update on assigned tasks and assist in preparing engineering reports and other technical documents
  • Conduct site inspections from time to time and perform other responsibilities as required
