About The Position

Arcadis is currently seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic Bridge Design Engineer Intern for a summer internship in
our Baton Rouge, LA
office. Arcadis’
Bridge Group delivers “best in class” technical and innovative solutions to our
clients on the design, delivery and management of these critical structural
resources to our State, municipal and design-build clients.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to work alongside and be
mentored by some of the best technical professionals in the industry on projects
that will impact infrastructure for years to come. This is an excellent
opportunity to gain a better understanding of the industry.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or closely related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AASHTO LRFD
• Experience with DOT bridge design policies and procedures highly desired
• Experience with structural engineering software packages such as LEAP Bridge (CONSPAN and RCPier specifically), MerlinDash, MathCAD, SAP2000, STAAD, RISA 3-D
• Experience with CADD related software packages such as Microstation, AutoCAD
• Prior internship or related experience

Responsibilities

• Must have experience and/or educational background in structural engineering
• Must possess the ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously
• Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and be able to convey information to other disciplines
