Requirements

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in bridge or general heavy highway construction
A minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to report to work on time
Must have proficient knowledge of NYSDOT standard specification as it relates to bridge and general civil construction
Must be willing to travel
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

Read blueprints, drawings, understand the plans and specifications.
Cut, assemble and install rebar, anchor bolts and embeds.
Erect job made forms or install prefabricated forming systems and their components.
Place concrete into the form work and finish concrete surfaces to specifications.
Order materials necessary to perform the work.
Inspect work for compliance to plans and specifications.
Monitor and schedule crew productions and understand goals.
Ensure compliance with all safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Lead by example in the areas of safety, work product and work ethic.
Ability to set up/or build forms.
Communicate with owners, DOT and Inspectors.
