About The Position

The Bridge Carpenter position at Sundt Construction Inc. involves planning, laying out, and performing various carpentry tasks in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Requirements

  • Must be able to read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards, and effectively utilize all trade tools and equipment relevant to the work.
  • Minimum of one year (level I), two years (level II), three years (level III), or four years (Sr.) experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry with an in-depth understanding of the carpentry trade.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage, and time.
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in all related trade mathematics.
  • Inspect subordinates' work to ensure accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications, explaining deficiencies and taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Seek opportunities for improvement in all tasks and methods, and be willing to learn from others while sharing knowledge.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members.
  • Produce high-quality work safely and productively at all times.
  • Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment, and information are available for the work.
