Basic Job Functions: The Brick Mason is responsible for coordinating refractory activities across all aspects of the NSLX operation. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with other melt shop processes with an emphasis on communication, cost reduction, and reliability of refractory components; bricking EAF, Ladles, Tundish, and all other ancillary refractory components. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Melt Shop process and refractory operations.

  • Current or previous experience working in Melt Shop.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
