About The Position

Ninkasis Brewery Operators (BrewOps) are responsible for crafting Ninkasi beer and other fine products. BrewOps also supports partner brewing operations, as needed by our industry partners. This role encompasses all aspects of production, from raw material handling through the transfer of product to packaging tanks. Operation and maintenance of brewery and cellar equipment is a large part of this role. Operators monitor and ensure quality standards are met and should have an appreciation for the beverages they produce. All members of our crew strive to maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary environment. Hours will vary to align with staffing and production team needs. Shift rotation is required: day, swing, graveyard, and weekend. At Ninkasi, we take our core values very seriously. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in a brewery or related environment.
  • Basic working knowledge of Office Suite (Excel, Word) and email applications.
  • A love for producing the highest quality product is an absolute must!

  • preference will be given to candidates with formal brewing education.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and troubleshoot equipment in a safe, efficient, and productive manner
  • Accurately and consistently perform tasks per established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Contribute to SOP improvement when necessary; we are constantly evolving!
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and on time.
  • Work autonomously and manage time efficiently to complete duties required of each shift in a dynamic environment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment/process issues as they arise; present solutions to accomplish team goals.
  • Work with the Sensory & Quality Team to ensure our product meet the highest quality standards.
  • Monitor, record, and report product specifications (this includes but is not limited to: Gravity, pH, Dissolved gasses, ABV, and density.)
  • Work with Warehouse and Supply Chain teams to ensure raw materials supply supports daily and weekly schedule completion and eliminates unnecessary waste.
  • Perform Clean in Place (CIP) on brewhouse vessels, tanks, and other equipment, ensuring chemicals are handled safely and in the prescribed concentration.
  • Regularly handle, harvest, assess and pitch multiple strains of yeast.
  • Adhere to safety/security procedures throughout all facilities, keeping team members accountable.
  • Communicate respectfully, regularly, and productively with all Ninkasi staff.
  • Arrive to each shift on time with a positive attitude.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
