About The Position

The Brewery Representative is responsible for developing new accounts and maintaining existing ones within Suffolk County, NY. This role emphasizes increasing product visibility and availability through consultative sales tactics, while working autonomously in a field-based capacity.

Requirements

• 1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry.
• An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality.
• Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously.
• Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently.
• Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently.

Responsibilities

• Sell the entire Boston Beer Company product portfolio.
• Focus on selling products and upgrading the number of product lines in retail accounts.
• Identify major accounts not currently selling BBC products and develop a plan to establish business with them.
• Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items.
• Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed and products are received.
• Conduct waitstaff and bartender education, beer tastings, and evening promotions.
• Travel regularly in the market to service retailers and wholesalers.
