About The Position

The Boston Beer Company is hiring a full-time Brewery Representative for Oregon and Southwest Washington. The ideal candidate will reside in Portland, Oregon, or surrounding cities. This role operates autonomously, focusing on developing new accounts and maintaining existing ones within the industry. A primary objective is to increase the availability and visibility of products in both new and established accounts through consultative sales tactics. While the position is listed as 'working remotely', it is field-based, requiring the representative to live within the assigned territory to visit accounts.

Requirements

1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry
An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality
Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently

Responsibilities

Sell our entire Boston Beer Company (BBC) product portfolio
Focus 100% on selling products and/or upgrading the number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores/convenient stores)
Identify major accounts not currently selling BBC products and develop a plan to establish business with them
Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase brand visibility
Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts
Conduct waitstaff / bartender educations, beer tastings, and evening promotions
Travel regularly in the market to service retailers and wholesalers
