About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.
  • Experience in production brewing.
  • Experience in sanitary food or beverage processing.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and cleanliness.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks such as twisting, turning, and crouching.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BOTEC process control technology.
  • Familiarity with Orchestrated Beer (Obeer) and WMS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operates, cleans, and sterilizes all brewing equipment using BOTEC process control technology.
  • Follows standard operating procedures in the creation of wort for the cellar.
  • Reviews and interprets the brewing schedule for upcoming brews using Orchestrated Beer (Obeer).
  • Mills specified grains and adjuncts based on production orders in Obeer prior to brew time.
  • Prepares hops, brewing salts, adjuncts, and other materials for brews according to production procedures in Obeer.
  • Scans all raw material license plates into WMS in real time to maintain inventory levels and ensure traceability.
  • Verifies correct material lot numbers after a brew is complete using WMS.
  • Checks the quality of raw materials, wort, and finished product daily, interacting with the quality department.
  • Adjusts brewing equipment as necessary and communicates changes to Brewing Managers.
  • Participates in shift changeover to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Coordinates with maintenance for required servicing of equipment and submits work order requests using eMaint.
  • Works with Brewer's Assistants to ensure raw materials are stocked and organized.
  • Prepares Inventory Transfer Requests (ITRs) in Obeer for material transfers.
  • Receives bulk malt deliveries into silos and monitors the process using the BOTEC operating system.
  • Inspects bulk grain deliveries for compliance with quality standards and verifies paperwork against PO in WMS/Obeer.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment using the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
  • Performs and signs off on weekly cleaning tasks based on CIP Checklists.
  • Reviews and signs off on Standard Operating Procedures as updates become available.
  • Assists in Cellar Operations as needed.
