John Stoddard Cancer Center , a service of UnityPoint Health – Des Moines, is among the top achieving cancer programs in the nation and has been recognized for its quality cancer care. We have been a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program for over 45 years. We are also a Breast Cancer Center and Clinical Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence. This is a result of decades of research, cancer treatment experience and cancer care technology. We have one of the most technologically advanced and diverse radiation oncology departments in the Midwest. Patients and their families have access to a wide range of services that were created to provide them with comprehensive and compassionate care including oncology navigators, patient support groups, nutritional support, survivorship, genetic counseling, and wellness programs. Requirements

MD or DO
Board Eligible or Board Certified
Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
J-1 waiver sponsorship available

Responsibilities

Join our surgical team and Stoddard Cancer Center as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary oncology team
Participate in well established, multiple disciplinary tumor boards as part of the Stoddard Cancer Center
Opportunity to engage in teaching in well established ACGME residency programs and medical student education in a learner rich environment
On-site chemotherapy infusion center
Da Vinci Xi Robotic platform available
Participate in clinical trials and cutting-edge research
Robust operational support and resources in collaborating work environment
Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
