Breast Sonography
About The Position
As a Breast Sonographer with St. Luke's part of CommonSpirit Health you will perform breast ultrasound exams on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the dedicated Breast radiologist. To be successful in this role, you must have a solid knowledge of breast imaging equipment and proper patient positioning to produce and analyze quality breast imaging. You'll continuously strive to deliver a positive experience to our patients and their caregivers. Requirements
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or ARRT
- Breast Imaging experience preferred
- Breast Certification preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Analyses sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information with medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician
- Ensure optimal imaging quality by performing quality checks on diagnostic equipment
