Breast Pathologist (Academic Clinician) Department of Pathology Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. Harvard Medical School, Boston The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is recruiting a per-diem breast pathologist. BIDMC is a tertiary care facility with 743 licensed beds and an internationally renowned principal teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School with NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center-affiliated Cancer Center. In addition, the Pathology department will be an essential part of the exciting new clinical collaboration between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England’s only free-standing adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration would bring together world-class clinicians to deliver transformational, precision medicine in an environment solely dedicated to defying cancer. We seek an energetic, team-oriented breast pathologist who will contribute to the Department’s diagnostic excellence, academic mission, and continued innovation. In addition to strong diagnostic skills in surgical pathology, expertise in molecular diagnostics or digital pathology is desirable. Strong interest in further developing the crucial role of Pathology in clinical trials is a plus, including new companion diagnostics. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations.
