About The Position

The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is recruiting a Per-Diem academic surgical pathologist with subspecialty expertise in breast pathology. BIDMC is a tertiary care facility with 743 licensed beds and an internationally renowned principal teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School with NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center-affiliated Cancer Center. The BIDMC Department of Pathology has launched new strategic initiatives in cutting-edge Precision Diagnostics (including cancer genomics, multiplex biomarker theranostics, and computational/digital pathology). In addition, the department will be engaged in the newly announced and exciting clinical collaboration between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England’s only free-standing adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration would bring together world-class clinicians to deliver transformational, precision medicine in an environment solely dedicated to defying cancer. The successful candidate will join a team of faculty, residents, and fellows to provide world-class diagnostics at BIDMC. Additionally, the candidate will support the vibrant training programs, including pathology residency program, and surgical pathology fellowship programs.

Requirements

  • Board certified in Pathology (AP or AP/CP).
  • Eligible for a license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
