Presbyterian Cancer Care is seeking a dedicated Breast Medical Oncologist to join our compassionate, patient-centered team in Rio Rancho. Practice Highlights: Focused Practice: Care exclusively for breast oncology patients in a supportive, multidisciplinary setting. Team-Based Support: Work alongside nurse navigators, social workers, dieticians, and chemo-certified infusion nurses. Work/Life Balance: Enjoy a 4-day work week and participate in the Breast Tumor Board every Wednesday morning. Manageable Call: Inpatient call just 7 weeks per year. Research Opportunities: Engage in clinical trials and research initiatives as a member of the New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance. Accredited Excellence: Our program is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). Streamlined Systems: Systemwide Epic EMR for seamless care coordination.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. with fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology
BC/BE Medical Oncology and Hematology
NM Medical License
Demonstration of CARES behaviors and the practice of collaborative care

Nice To Haves

3-5 years minimum experience preferred

Responsibilities

In alignment with NCCN guidelines, order and oversee diagnostic testing; prescribe treatment and supportive medications; collaborate with the care team to include palliative care, psychology, social work, PT, OT, Speech, dietician, nursing, research to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Oversee care provided by Advanced Practice Clinicians, as required by provider licensure.
Participate in process improvement which drives standard of care across the continuum.
Participation in tumor board(s) is required.
