About The Position

The OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center seeks a Breast Medical Oncologist to join its academically driven team for a role spanning education, teaching, research, and patient care. As the state's only NAPBC-accredited breast center, OU Health is committed to providing full spectrum care from screening to survival. The OU Breast Health Network has a long-standing commitment to serve the community and state with the highest quality breast imaging services and care. The Stephenson Cancer Center (SCC) was established in 2001 and NCI-Designated in 2018. The center's mission is to improve patient outcomes and reduce the burden of cancer in Oklahoma and the nation through an integrated program of research, clinical care, education, and community engagement. Located on the University of Oklahoma (OU) Health Sciences Center campus in Oklahoma City, Stephenson is the state's only NCI-Designated Cancer Center, providing a critical resource for patients seeking research-driven, patient-centered, multidisciplinary treatment. In addition, it coordinates a statewide network supporting clinical trials and community-engaged research across Oklahoma.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in Medical Oncology.
  • Fellowship training in Medical Oncology.
  • Experience in breast oncology and clinical trials.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in teaching and mentoring medical students or residents.
  • Research experience in breast cancer.
  • Interest in community engagement and outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide education, teaching, research, and patient care as a Breast Medical Oncologist.
  • Engage in clinical trials and research initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a team of breast surgeons, plastic surgeons, and breast radiologists.
  • Mentor fellows and residents in the field of breast oncology.
  • Participate in grant writing and clinical trials.
