The Department of Medicine at The University of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) is recruiting an exceptional medical oncologist, with a breast cancer research focus, to join our faculty in the Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care. This is an opportunity for an academic clinician, on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track or Clinician Teacher (CT) track to provide patient care and do scholarly work on the mechanisms underlying the development and treatment of breast cancers. Health services or clinical trial research is desired, and priority areas include genomics, precision medicine and cancer therapeutics. Interest in cellular therapy is also considered. This clinician will be active in the multi- disciplinary breast oncology program. We are ideally seeking an experienced breast cancer researcher with an interest in leading our team of investigators in multi-investigator research projects. The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center Breast Cancer research team is actively engaged in improving breast cancer outcomes through translational science. This multidisciplinary research extends across campus including the schools of Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine and engages breast cancer advocates. Horizontal collaborations include those across Wisconsin, through the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium, national oncology cooperative groups and industry partners. This position is full or part time, 80%-100% This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law every four years. Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), Assistant Professor (CHS), Clinical Professor (CT), Clinical Associate Professor (CT,) or Clinical Assistant Professor (CT). The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.
