Requirements

• High School Diploma OR G.E.D.
• ARRT (M) or ARRT (BS) certification.
• ARDMS OR NCBC OR Bone Density certification.
• Basic Life Support certification credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree (strongly preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree
• 1+ years of Mammography, Breast Ultrasounds, or Bone Density experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department.
• Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.
• Follow standards of safe radiation practice.
• Demonstrate leadership abilities and act as a role model for other associate technologists.
• Act as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assure current standards of practice for the unit.
• Provide assistance during interventional breast procedures.
• Produce quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Prepare patients for exams and provide information and instruction regarding procedures.
• Observe patients and equipment during procedures, reporting/documenting unusual occurrences and recording patient conditions.
• Communicate in writing and verbally with all physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff.
