About The Position

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Breast Imaging & Interventional Technologist to join our team at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN! This is a casual position that will work as needed during the day shift, Monday through Friday. The Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and for coordinating teamwork with all of the members of the health care team.

Requirements

• A.R.R.T. (R) Upon Hire
• A.R.R.T. (M) within 1 Year
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Upon Hire

• 1 year in mammography

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient care
• Performs examinations
• Identifies relevant data from images accurately
• Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
• Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
• Knowledge of emergency preparedness for facility
• Verify patient identification and documentation
• Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
• Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
• Ensures patient data integrity
• Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes, and file jacket transfers in a timely fashion
• Accurate film identification and jacket preparation or digital image manipulation and archiving
• Provides patient education based on an assessment of learning needs of patient/care-giver
