PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods . The Breakout Crew Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the continuous operation of various machinery within the production environment by providing coverage during lunches and breaks. The responsibilities include operating machinery safely and efficiently, monitoring production processes, and maintaining a smooth workflow to meet production targets. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

  • Operate a variety of machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedure, including but not limited to Fillers, cappers , cap hopper conveyor systems ,axon sleeve machine, dynac accumulation system, labeler, bottle coder, case packers both drop and form around, case erector, paktek neck clip applicator, box sealers, bottle hoppers, bottle orienteer/unscrambler, induction sealers, steam/heat tunnels, and palletizer/robot stacking system.
  • Exposure to various chemicals substances, such as alcohol and peroxide.
  • Ensure that machines are set up correctly, and parameters are within specified tolerances.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met and production targets are achieved.
  • Identify and address any issues or deviations from standard operating procedures promptly.
  • Conduct visual inspections of products to detect defects or irregularities.
  • Follow quality control procedures and report any non-conforming products to supervisors.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the maintenance team.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while operating machinery.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting any safety hazards or incidents.
  • Provide coverage for machine operators during their breaks and lunches to ensure continuous operation of production lines.
  • Familiarize yourself with the operation of different machinery to provide seamless transitions.
  • Keep accurate records of production activities, including machine downtime, production output, and quality control checks.
  • Complete production reports and communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors.
  • Shift work may be required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Must possess excellent documentation practices, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in recording and maintaining essential information.
  • Must have knowledge of machine operation and a thorough understanding of troubleshooting production machinery to increase up-time.
  • Proficiently operate electronic forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials and goods.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
