The Renaissance Minneapolis Bloomington Hotel is seeking a creative, skilled, guest-focused restaurant server to join its team of fun-spirited team members! The 250+ room hotel, with nearly 5,000 square feet of meeting space, is conveniently located for business and leisure travelers. Our property is just a short drive from the world-famous Mall of America. Some of our features include a full-service modern American Restaurant concept, featuring creatively crafted interpretations of Food and Beverage made with a Minnesota twist. The Pay Range is $12.13 Join our dynamic Food and beverage team and play a crucial role in elevating our hotel's restaurant and outlet services! Food Servers are essential to the success of the restaurant team and will provide outstanding guest service, from taking orders to delivering food and beverages with a smile. This role has a Hiring bonus of $ 1,000-weekend retention incentive: $250 on the 90th day of employment, $250 on the 6th month, and $500 to be paid on your first anniversary. This incentive is based on weekend availability only for the first year of employment. If availability to work weekend shifts changes, you will no longer be eligible for future incentive payouts. Weekend in this incentive plan is defined as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings.
Requirements
- Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Minimum of 1 year of Server experience in a similar role; size of operation preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Alcohol Beverage server certification is preferred.
- Food handler certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver best-in-class service to our guests with engagement and thoughtfulness.
- Enthusiastically take and deliver guests' food and beverage orders. Regularly revisit the table to ensure beverages are refilled and guest satisfaction is maintained.
- Generate checks through PMS and receive payments efficiently for each guest.
- Maintain daily restaurant organization, ensuring all condiments and supplies are replenished.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages.
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and optimal functionality of all restaurant and service workstations.
