About The Position

As a Restaurant Server, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and attending to guests' needs in a courteous and efficient manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED certification
• Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Previous experience as a server or bartender in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
• Passion for providing excellent customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
• Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry trays of drinks, and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, engage with them in a friendly and professional manner, and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
• Take drink orders from customers, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Have a thorough understanding of the cocktail menu, wine list, and other beverage offerings, and be able to make recommendations based on customer preferences and tastes.
• Work closely with bartenders to prepare and serve drinks to customers efficiently and accurately, following established recipes and presentation standards.
• Utilize suggestive selling techniques to promote additional drink options, upgrades, or specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of tables and seating areas in the bar or lounge, including clearing empty glasses and plates, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring a tidy environment.
• Process payments for drink orders, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and processing payments accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to alcohol service laws and regulations, including checking identification to verify legal drinking age and refusing service to intoxicated individuals when necessary.
• Check the identification of guests to ensure guests are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages.
• Refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age.
• Use judgment and reasoning to cope with difficult situations, such as preventing a guest from alcohol intoxication, dealing appropriately with an underage guest.
• Observe guests’ behavior, count the number of drinks served and if the server feels they should not drive, offer a taxi.
• Understand and actively support all company policies relevant to your role.
