About The Position

The Breakfast Ambassador is a crucial member of our Guest Service team, responsible for delivering an excellent customer service experience to our guests while managing all aspects of the guest breakfast program. Responsibilities include inventory management and cost control, food and beverage preparation, cleaning the breakfast area, and assisting guests with special requests as needed.

Requirements

  • Able to start work as early as 5am and available on weekends and holidays.
  • Previous food experience is a benefit but not required.
  • Comfortable working as the only food and beverage employee during most shifts.
  • Able to handle stressful situations and solve problems in a calm, professional manner.
  • Physically able to perform all responsibilities including but not limited to bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to successfully pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and serve guests in a professional, courteous manner and anticipate and address guest needs to maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Cook and prepare breakfast food products, including large batches of fresh-cooked meats and eggs, heating ready-made items, preparing oatmeal, mixing batter, making coffee, etc.
  • Stock, refill and arrange beverages and self-service food products and supplies.
  • Actively monitor the breakfast area for cleanliness, including cleaning up spills, offering to clear tables when guests are finished, clearing and cleaning tables as soon as they are vacated, removing trash, and maintaining a clean environment at all times.
  • Review occupancy forecasts to anticipate daily food and beverage needs while minimizing waste, managing inventory and controlling costs.
  • Handle other responsibilities as needed/directed by hotel management.
