About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing the breakfast bar for hotel guests, greeting and servicing them in a friendly manner consistent with brand, hotel, and sustainability standards. Key tasks include carrying food, dishes, trays, or silverware from the pantry to serving counters, setting up attractive food displays, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure food safety. The role also involves wiping tables and seats, scraping and stacking dirty dishes, transporting tableware to kitchens for cleaning, and promptly cleaning up spilled food, drink, or broken dishes and removing trash. The attendant must maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean glassware, dishes, or trays, fill beverage and ice dispensers, stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments, and refill condiment containers. Additionally, the attendant will locate and provide items requested by guests, clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in the pantry or breakfast area, and mop or vacuum floors. The position requires awareness of guest satisfaction scores and active work towards increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction, adherence to sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program, practice of safe work habits, use of required safety equipment, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Other duties as requested by management may also be required.

Requirements

  • Food sanitation certification required within 90 days of employment.

  • Previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training

Responsibilities

  • Stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers.
