About The Position

The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Instructor at Jiu Jitsu Defense Inc. is responsible for teaching various BJJ techniques, developing students' skills, and ensuring safety and risk awareness during training sessions. The instructor will prepare students for competitions and self-defense scenarios while conducting performance evaluations and maintaining ethical standards. Collaboration and coordination with other staff and compliance with certification requirements are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in BJJ instruction or coaching.
  • Strong understanding of competition-level requirements in BJJ.
  • Certified 'Black Belt' rank issued by IBJJF or other governing body.
  • Previous experience competing in at least 1 sanctioned IBJJF competition.
