About The Position

Nestlé Health Science Innovation team is searching for a self-motivated, experienced Brand Marketer with expertise in developing and marketing CPG and/or consumer healthcare brands. The right candidate will also be passionate about health, wellness, and nutrition and will want to use that passion everyday building brands for Nestlé Health Science and improving the lives of the people we serve. The Innovation Brand Marketing Manager is an impactful and dynamic brand management position in a high growth segment of the business   The Brand Marketing Manager, Innovation will lead and deliver the innovation strategy across the largest, high growth brands by building white space opportunities and by capturing channel and customer priorities. This role will partner extensively with high functioning cross-functional teams to define and execute all elements of innovation strategies from concept to commercialization.

Requirements

  • 5 years of Brand Management / New Product Innovation experience building brands and driving the business including financial management and P&L management is preferred.
  • Proven success in delivering consumer packaged goods innovation and developing 3-5 innovation strategies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Comfortable with an estimated 20% annual travel.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership through product development and commercialization.
  • Proven ability to analyze the business and category trends and develop strategies and marketing programs that have driven business results.
  • Strong leadership, analytic skillset, planning, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Consumer Understanding (positioning, insights).
  • Oral and Written Communication Skills; ease presenting ideas & recommendations to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Build and commercialize 3-5 year innovation pipelines that deliver incremental sales growth and achieve financial objectives. Lead short-term opportunity development and execution, and long-term strategic innovation planning, across key brands and benefit spaces aligning with brand positioning, value proposition and consumer demand space mapping.
  • Lead the analysis and identification of new whitespace innovation opportunities and benefit spaces. Work closely with the R&D team to assess viability and feasibility and develop new product concepts that will fulfill unmet consumer needs and drive differentiation and incremental growth.
  • Partner with Consumer Insights and Data Analytics teams to identify omnichannel category and consumer trends and build and action learning plans from early consumer understanding to new product concept development to opportunity sizing through consumer validation.
  • Lead new products through stage gate approval process with Project Management team from concept through commercialization including product design (formulation, format, flavor profile, etc) packaging structure and graphics.
  • Partner with Medical, Regulatory, and Legal partners to develop differentiated new product claims and claim support strategy.
  • Partner with Sales Strategy to develop pricing strategy, distribution targets, volume builds and strong sales story, including presentation materials to achieve retailer commitment.
  • Support development of launch communication plans with Brand Experience team with compelling insights and strong storytelling.
