About The Position

The Brand Engagement Center (BEC) at Toyota is seeking a highly motivated Customer Relations Representative to enhance owner satisfaction and retention by interfacing with Toyota and Lexus owners, dealerships, and field offices. This role provides a foundational experience in customer service, product knowledge, and the workings of the company, with opportunities for career growth within Toyota.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Customer service experience in a fast-paced customer-facing or phone environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Automotive experience (i.e., dealership, technician, worked for another automotive company, etc.)
  • Experience working with technology (i.e., Bluetooth pairing, navigation, smartphone)
  • Familiarity with social media
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Responsibilities

  • Direct interface with Toyota and Lexus guests by responding to incoming phone calls regarding inquiries and/or complaints
  • Analyze guest concerns/inquiries and handle accordingly
  • Take ownership of incoming communication; investigate and resolve various questions and concerns that are dealer, sales, service, or product related
  • Combine active listening with proactive decision-making skills to benefit Toyota and Lexus guests
  • Multitask daily by talking and typing while actively listening to the guest; utilize multiple software applications at once
  • Research unique guest requests using online resources and identify opportunities to improve the guest experience
  • Support in-vehicle technology and apps, assisting guests with setting up and troubleshooting their multimedia products, phone pairing, and navigation
  • Demonstrate high emotional intelligence to effectively support a low-effort guest experience
  • Maintain attendance and punctuality as essential for this position
  • Transition to guest interactions via letters, e-mails, social media, and/or chats based on performance and business need
