About The Position

Red Wing Shoe Company is excited to announce our 2026 Internship Program! The program is designed to offer you meaningful work that will prepare you for your career. You’ll get to see first-hand how our corporate teams develop strategies and practices that support our retail and manufacturing partners, and customers worldwide. Throughout the program, you’ll collaborate with fellow interns and teams across the business, learn from mentors who are invested in your success, and take part in activities that strengthen our culture and support the communities we serve. This position will offer a hybrid work structure. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Red Wing, MN as you’ll be working on-site once a week (Tuesdays). Standard work hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-1pm. Compensation is $25/hr. What to Expect: As a Brand Creative + Social Intern, you will play a key role in shaping how we connect with the next generation of skilled trades workers through social media and influencer engagement. You will focus on social media and influencer strategies targeted toward this audience, ensuring these channels remain a leading way to raise awareness and create authentic connections. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media strategy, influencer marketing, and brand positioning while working on initiatives that directly impact how our brand is perceived in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in design, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent design, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks independently while meeting deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in the retail, footwear or apparel industry a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and execute real world social media and influencer campaigns (from TikTok to Made In USA efforts) in partnership with Brand Marketing, Social Media, and Creative teams.
  • Analyze consumer and competitive insights to inform key social media and influencer creative, design and copy decisions, and planning processes.
  • Gain experience in designing, writing for, promoting and maintaining the identity and perception of our Flagship brand in the marketplace.
  • Present social media landscape observations/implications to the full Red Wing Marketing Team.
