About The Position

The Brand Ambassador position at Kampgrounds of America (KOA) involves a two-person team responsible for conducting quality assurance reviews of franchise locations within a designated geographic region. This role ensures that KOA campgrounds provide a clean and high-quality camping experience for guests while supporting the development of the franchise system and strengthening relationships between franchisees and the franchisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience safely driving a 1-ton truck pulling a 40' fifth wheel camper in all types of terrain, traffic, and weather conditions.
  • Experience developing efficient travel routes that reduce time and operational expenses.
  • Drivers must hold a valid driver's license (CDL preferred) with a clean driving record.
  • Drivers must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
  • Minimum of five years in a customer service-oriented role, or relevant education/training in customer-facing support roles.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
  • Ability to identify best practices and develop procedures.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and complete tasks with limited direction.
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Build trust and rapport with franchisees in your region to provide exceptional support.
  • Conduct thorough physical reviews of facilities at all campgrounds, KOA system billboards, KOA.com, and other quality assurance areas as assigned, ensuring timely completion.
  • Provide franchisees with a fair and objective assessment of facilities, operations, and brand positioning in accordance with the KOA Quality Assurance & Policy Manual.
  • Offer franchisees examples of best practices and provide solutions for addressing any deficiencies identified at campgrounds.
  • Collaborate with campgrounds to develop facility improvement plans that comply with KOA's standards.
  • Utilize FranConnect, KOA's internal franchise management tracking system, to record activities, campground correspondence, and reports related to the Quality Assurance process.
  • Create cost-effective and time-efficient travel routes.
  • Provide insights to the Quality Assurance Manager related to operational checklists, best practices, and systems that can be integrated into individual franchisee operations.
  • Identify and recommend franchisees for assistance and awards.
  • Ensure that the assigned truck and RV are well-maintained to ensure safe operation and compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
