JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES The Brand Activation Specialist is a valued member of the Corporate Affairs (CA) Team at POET. Each member of the CA Team plays a key role in how team members, investors, external stakeholders, policy leaders, and the general public perceive POET. The Brand Activation Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing the company’s sports partnership agreements, ensuring all sponsorship assets and contractual commitments are delivered accurately, on time, and in alignment with brand strategy. Working closely with the marketing team and external partners, this role brings partnerships to life through activations, events, campaigns, social media, and on-site brand experiences. The specialist manages day-to-day communication, oversees key deliverables such as signage, hospitality, digital assets, and promotional campaigns, and supports performance tracking and reporting. This position also helps identify opportunities to enhance partnership impact and collaborates with the Social Media Manager on external campaigns, ultimately ensuring that sports sponsorships drive meaningful brand value, strong engagement, and broader business results. This is an on-site role located in Sioux Falls, SD.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in client services, project coordination, marketing, or partnership activation roles, preferably within the sports, entertainment, or non-profit sectors.
  • Knowledge of NASCAR, MMA, PBR, and other mainstream sports is a must.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and adapt to a non-traditional work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and campaign analytics platforms are highly valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Partnership Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate partners, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the activation lifecycle.
  • Execution and Fulfillment: Coordinate and execute all contractual deliverables, including digital signage, in-game promotions, events, broadcast mentions, hospitality elements, and marketing campaigns.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the internal/external communications team to ensure brand alignment and successful activation of partnership initiatives.
  • Project Coordination: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including timelines, vendors, and creative deliverables, ensuring all deadlines and partner objectives are met.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Track all sponsorship elements to ensure the fulfillment of the agreement is being met.
  • Ideation and Strategy: Facilitate and support brainstorming sessions to develop new and enhanced partner activation ideas for existing partners and new sponsorships.
  • Social Media: Assist with the selection of appropriate influencers and sponsorship opportunities that help further POET’s brand and overall messaging.
